Each year we like to do at least one long hike, ski, or canoe trip in a remote area.  Together we’ve done nine trips north of the Arctic Circle and another seven trips in Alaska, Yukon, and Iceland just south of the Arctic Circle.  All of these trips were completely organized by ourselves and were unguided.  We’ve done many similar trips in other, non-northern areas as well.

We have developed webpages for the recent trips.  Go to the trip webpage, read the description, and see the videos and slideshow.  All of the pictures were taken by one of us except for the photos of the two of us together.  Feel free to contact us at 1-604-921-2651 or by e-mail if you would like more information about any of these trips.

We have also done many earlier trips to northern Canada, Alaska, and other places.  We will create webpages and slideshows for each when we scan the slides.

Have a look at the slideshow following.  It contains a map showing all the northern trips we have done.  It also contains charts showing relative distances and areas.  The key points of these charts is that northern Canada is a very big and sparsely populated!

Press the white button on the top right to get a full screen view.  You can have the slideshow play automatically or you can scroll through the pictures yourself by clicking on either side of the pictures.  You can also scroll through the pictures by using the left/right arrow keys on your keyboard.
