In the early 1980’s I, Manrico, was near my peak (no pun intended) of my mountaineering abilities. My rock climbing skills peaked years later after I met Liz and started rock climbing with her.
The summer of 1982 Bob and I spent several days in the 3,000 meter col between Mount Waddington and Combatant Mountain in the Coast Range of British Columbia, Canada. Our intention was to do routes on both Combatant and the northwest peak of Waddington. The weather was unstable and we managed to complete two good routes on Combatant, a snow/ice couloir and a rock climb. We also made it part way up the easy Angel Glacier on the way to the Waddington northwest peak before turning back because of conditions.
Now the photos which are Kodachrome transparencies scanned in 2021. Unfortunately many of the transparencies have degraded with time even though they were stored properly.
If you expand the photo viewer to full page the “Adventures” menu will stop working. This is because of technical issues with the website software. Pick any other menu item and go to that web page. The “Adventures” menu will then work properly.
