The 2017 was a quiet one for trips. I (Manrico) had planned on hiking with friends in the California High Sierras. However July was the only time we could go and California had a record snow year. We didn’t want to spend the trip hiking mostly on snow so that trip fell through.
Trips in British Columbia were unappealing at that time because of the dense smoke from the extensive forest fires that summer. Other friends planned a short local trip regardless hoping that the smoke would clear which thankfully it did.
I tagged along on that trip with Christina (who did most of the organizing), Isabel, John, Linda, Margaret, and Tony. We went for a week to Athelney Pass at the north end of the Lillooet Valley. We did it the “half luxurious” way by flying in. It was only half luxurious because we walked out.
It was a fun week of easy rambles on the local mountains and one attempt at climbing a more serious peak.
Now the photos. If you expand the photo viewer to full page the “Adventures” menu will stop working. This is because of technical issues with the website software. Pick any other menu item and go to that web page. The “Adventures” menu will then work properly.
