This was one of several sea kayak trips organized by Marilyn and Dan. Unfortunately Marilyn couldn’t come this time. We’ve never done a trip with Heidi, Rhonda, or Ron. Rounding out the group were Linda and Patrick with whom we’ve done several kayak and hiking trips.
We started by driving to Fair Harbour which is little more than a marina and campsite on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. From there we took a water taxi to Jackobson Point on the south side of the Brooks Peninsula. Then it was a nine-day paddle all the way back to Fair Harbour with stops at the Bunsby Islands, Spring Island, and Rugged Point.
Thanks Dan and Marilyn for organizing this trip!
This following video includes a few video clips from the trip and a Google Earth tour of our route.
Now the photos. If you expand the photo viewer to full page the “Adventures” menu will stop working. This is because of technical issues with the website software. Pick any other menu item and go to that web page. The “Adventures” menu will then work properly.
