In 2004 the two of us hiked across much of Ivvavik National Park in the northwest corner of the Yukon territory. Joining us were Alison, Doug, Irene, Kirstie, Linda, and Trish. This trip was unusual in that smoke from large forest fires in the south made travel unpleasant and probably unhealthy for the first few days. Then it rained and cleared out most of the smoke.
This was Liz’s second trip in the area. In 1993 she and others hiked a completely different route with the same start and end points as this trip.
