Fairy Meadows is one of the best high alpine backcountry ski areas in the world. Close to the Alpine Club of Canada’s Bill Putnam (Fairy Meadows) Hut are numerous big peaks and glaciers with long ski runs.
We’ve been to Fairy Meadows several times. The photos shown here are from our 1993 trip which was probably the best. We arrived just after a major storm dropped about half a meter of snow with cold temperatures and little wind. Then it was sunny and cool for most of the week we were there. In other words, we had perfect conditions in a fabulous area.
