Each year we try to do at least one long hike, ski, canoe, or sea kayak trip in a remote area. Many of those trips were in the north. Together we’ve done nine trips north of the Arctic Circle and another eight trips in Alaska, Yukon, and Iceland just south of the Arctic Circle.
We have developed web pages for the recent trips and some older trips where we’ve scanned the slides (transparencies). Go to the trip web page, read the description, and see the videos and slideshow. Feel free to contact us at 1-604-921-2651 or by e-mail if you would like more information about any of these trips.
We will create more web pages for older trips when we scan the slides.
Have a look at the slideshow following. It contains a map showing all the northern trips we have done. It also contains charts showing relative distances and areas. The key points of these charts is that northern Canada is a very big and sparsely populated!
